Calm Before the Storm

After a very leisurely summer and fall in terms of travel, we are staring down the barrel of a pretty intense period of travel coming up.  We are taking advantage of a good many deals and promotions and have an exciting first half of 2014 planned.

With excitement, of course, comes nerves.  There’s a lot to get done in the days between trips, not to mention staying in the swing of work and everyday life.  I find that I have gotten pretty darn attached to my routines during this break, and now we’re going to change it up, keep us on our toes.

I’m telling you this because I want you to know – I get nervous too.  I know that we are going to have a blast and we’re going to see some incredible places and do some incredible things as a family.  We’ve done a lot of crazy stuff in the past, but… that doesn’t mean I don’t get nervous about it.

Weirdly, most of my nerves are about the mundane things like “When will the laundry get done.”

It will get done.  I will pack.  I will unpack.

We keep on adventuring.  ‘Tis the post-holiday travel deal season.

Bring it on!
